Sofia is BACK from Europe and we are back on a regular schedule live every Tuesday with new audio eps every Thursday. Our topics for this ep was catching up on Sofia's trip experiences as well as talking about her upcoming appearances on the new dating/reality show coming out for love.  
 
We react to some of the major hell scape watch topics including all the draconian legislation meant to target the LGBTQ+ community and react to some other topics as well.

My Daca Life

Maribel Serrano is an activist actress producer and was one of the first Daca recipients when the program launched.  She chronicled her journey back home in the exceptional doc "My Daca Life" that has screened at countless film festivals over the last few years.  We spoke about her life and journey for the first 45 minutes of this episode. The second part of this episode is Sofia and Lou delving into Hellscape Watch and talking about the Bud Light controversy,  The Dali Lama and other topics.

The roots and deeper cost of femicide.

Femicide or Feminicidio plagues not only Mexico and Latino cultures and countries but is an epidemic that affects the entire planet.  Rodrigo Occelli and his team tackle this subject in their new film "Me Mataron 3 Veces" a documentary that focuses on the root causes and the unintended and deeper consequences of this issue.  We got a chance to speak to their team including Alex Montes and Sandra De Silva about the making of the doc which focuses on 3 siblings and their extended and life long trauma after the death of their mother.  After this serious conversation we switch themes and try to focus on some less serious things.Rosa Parra our entertainment correspondent gives us her impressions on the Barbie Trailer as well as some entertaiment talk and we also dive into some hellscape watch and tabs. Thanks for listening and make sure u are following @vetafilms to follow the doc as well as @rosasreviews

L.I.F.E Latinos in film & entertainment is an organization that started from a viral tweet about the challenges facing Latino creatives in the entertainment world. 
We spoke to Rob Alicea & Angelique Rivera about how that tweet brought them together to form a growing movement and support system for Latino/e/x creatives.We spoke about their background and ways that people can get involved and support each other and then jumped to talking about some issues facing Latinos today.
