Alexandra Rivera created the United Stateless podcast which focuses on people who have grown up or spent vast amounts of time in the US to only then be deported or make the decision to leave and go back to their home country for a variety of reasons. We spoke about the chance encounter that made her think about creating this pod and about some of the amazing people she has met along the way.

New Studio In Town! A Chat w/ Nelson Grande from Avenida Productions

Nelson and Fanny Grande founded Avenida Productions after being fed up with the lack of opportunities for Latino creatives and deciding to create those opportunities themselves.  Since then Avenida has expanded to include their crowdfunding platform Support Our Stories which has raised millions in capital for Latino filmmakers and now they have a Wefunder campaign as they aim to expand and launch their streaming platform for Latino content.  Nelson stopped by for an awesome chat so please go follow them and support our studio!  After the interview we dove into the Barbie phenomenon and asked the question.  Is your partner liking or not liking or understanding Barbie a deal breaker???Should you break up with your significant other if they don't understand or don't like Barbie or maybe even if they like Barbie too much?

All About Brave Bird

Filmmaker Alejandro Miranda Cruz from WeAreBraveBird.com stops by to talk about his life in filmmaking and his short doc "Decolonizing Dinner" He began as a child actor in the The Lost World Jurassic Park so we also talked about that and what it was like being a child directed by the legend Steven Spielberg and about the types of films and projects he likes to make for Brave Bird.  It was great chat recorded a while back so some of the ongoing topics at that time was Coachella and some of the random stuff.  Still was a very fun chat and we thank him for being on the show.
